No sat test does not require any age limits but I think 14 is the best age to have that bcoz you are responsible at that age and you can prepare your test properly.

This answer closely relates to:
  • Sat age requirements
    • What is the different betwen easy test and objective test?
    • What is the difference between ovulation test and fetility test?
    • What meals to prepare for nursing moms with newborns?
  • Age requirements for sat
    • What is hsa test for men?
    • What age do you test sat?
    • What is the earliest age to take sat test?

Q. How do i take the sat test?
i am 17 this year and i have heard that sitting and doing well for the sat test is a must to get into a good university. i have no idea what the sat test is and no idea where to learn how to do well in it. so please help me. how do i sit for the sat test? must i apply for it? if yes how?. and what is the requirement to apply and at what age? next, how do i get prepared for the sat test?.

"Once you hit junior year in high school you can take the sat test..."

Once you hit junior year in high school you can take the SAT test. You should be able to go through the high school counselor to sign up, but if not you can google SAT and sign up on their website. The SAT is just a standardized test that takes like 8 hours to do, but you do get a few breaks. Make sure though that the university you would like to attend accepts the SAT as opposed to the ACT (which is more widely accepted on the West coast). The ACT is also a standardized test, but some people say it's geared more towards math and science. And indeed the ACT has an optional writing portion whereas the SAT has a mandatory writing portion. There are many SAT/ACTstudy guides you can buy from places like Barnes and Noble that can be helpful. But don't worry if you get a terrible score the first time you take the SAT because you can take it again and again and again and only have to report the scores you want. I believe you have to pay something like $20 to take the test. It should all be on the website. Good luck!

Q. Sat test???
i live in malaysia, and only a handful of people here register for the sat exams. so forgive me for my lack of knowledge about the exams. can someone explain what the sat1 test is all about? are there any requirements to sit for it? at what age can i sit for this exam?

"You can take the exam at any age you want..."

You can take the exam at any age you want, but most people in the United States who take the test are about 17 years old, in their last or second to last year before they attend university. The test has three sections: critical reading, mathematics, and writing. Critical reading is all about vocabulary and reading comprehension: there are questions where you have to complete sentences using choices of vocabulary words. The math section is mostly algebra and geometry but it also has some statistics, probability, and about 7% miscellaneous. The math is relative easy conceptually, and is usually learned in 7th-10th grade but one must understand how to APPLY these concepts. The writing section is relatively new, there are questions about standard English grammar in the form of improving paragraphs, identifying errors in sentences, and editing sentences. There is also a 25 minute essay at the beginning of the test where you will have to develop a point of view about a claim that is given. The entire test is multiple choice except for the essay and a few math "student-produced responses" where you have to fill in the answer and you are not given any choices. It is scored from 200-800 for each of the three sections for a maximum possible score of 2400. The very top American universities usually like to see about 2000-2200 or better, but most universities are not so demanding. Anyways I think this should tell you all the basics about the test; good luck on the exam and with everything else!

Q. Sat ii? what subjects can you get tested in?how necessary is it if you want to get in to a prestigious college
if you get a low score in an area can you just not count that test or how does that work??? where can you register to take it, what are requirements like age or grade or anything like that??

"There are no requirements..."

SATIIs have many, many subjects from Lit, to Chinese, to Math, to Chemistry. There are over 30 tests. Most prestigious colleges require at least 2-3 tests. You want to aim for over 700 on each test. There are no requirements, but you want to be well-versed in whatever subjects you choose to take.

Q. Navy pqs boot camp requirements?
if you successfully complete the dep guide pqs, pass a written test at recruit training command (rtc), and pass pt-baseline with a sat-med will be advanced to e2 effective from their active duty service date (adsd). completion of your dep guide pqs will be confirmed and documented by the classifier at meps. i passed the ifa and written during my dep now, i ship in a month, papers are all faxed in....is the physical test i take at rtc the same as the ifa here? or is it the pft? what exactly is the "pt-baseline" mean? i know what the ifa requirements are for my age, just wondering if its the same exact requirements for the pqs test in boot camp too. thank you yes sorry im 22 years old and male. well my basic question i guess is that, is it the same, my ifa req. 13:30 mile, 34 pushups and 47 situps to pass, is it the same exact numbers in boot camp when i take the prt to advance? oh yah thats right mile and a half, ok cool, so same numbers then i guess from the pqs book as in boot camp ifa

"Is based on your gender and age..."

If I read the question right, is the fitness test you took to be advanced to E-2 the same as the PRT in boot camp? Yes. The scores(outstanding-high,med-low, sat-high,med,low, unsat) is based on your gender and age. e.g a 19 year old male will have perform a lot more pushups than a 28 year old female to recieve the same score.

Q. I need a us history sat subject test prep book!?
okay, so i just bought the sparknotes: sat ii us history book and so far it seems pretty good, but i want the best one! let me expalin one thing though, i'm in high school and i took a history 17b course over summer at a comm. college in the area because it fulfilled the requirement for us history at my school. the only problem is that it only covered 1865 and beyond and the sat ii goes from columbian age and beyond. so, i need a book the will give me all i need to know about the earlier part, plus, at least a detailed review of the 1865 and beyond. bottomline, i have a week to return the book if you guys think another one is significantly better!

Either the Kaplan or the Princeton book is excellent./

Q. Take the sat / act or not?
although i have alot of college credits built up (including getting my associates degree), i haven't taken either test. this is because because the schools i have been to so far (a technical trade school, a 2-year private college, & some classes at a community college) were either open enrollment types, or the minimum requirement was a high school degree & a b average. i've been told by some university admissions that based on my age & number of college credits built up, the sat / act score requirement would be waived. but for some universities, i feel like i should take the sat / act anyway. i emailed one university for info on a particular program. they were quick to respond, & asked for my transcripts & sat / act scores. i replied back & said that i would send my transcripts with previous college work, but also told them about my sat / act issue. after that, i didn't hear from them. it sort of felt like a brush-off for not having the scores. thanks for all your advice, everyone. i have decided that i will take at least one of the tests. and i plan to get them done by fall of next year. i have to get more calculus in first, so that's the earliest it will be. anyway, i'll be glad to finally have them on my record! :-)

"Of course a university may have different requirements..."

From my experience, if you have an associate's, an ACT/SAT would not be necessary for admittance if the GPA was high enough and you had a large number of transferable credits. If you're going into another college/university as a junior, the test scores shouldn't be necessary. Maybe the college you wrote to was planning to evaluate your work before deciding if they need additional scores. Still, it sounds like you're interested in taking the tests, though, and if that's the case, it probably won't hurt. Saying all that, of course a university may have different requirements. E-mail again. And it could be they are just catching their breath if it's a big school - they probably had a lot of new freshmen and transfer students to get situated. Keep at it! The "system", even when you're part of it, can be difficult to navigate. Once you find someone, stick to them. Best to you!
