    Q. The 1st day of my last period was february 25 and i know february had only 28 days. well it`s march 29th and still havent had my period? is that more ?

Some women have 35 day cycles like myself. But if you know that you normally have a 28 day period and you had intercourse within 2 weeks after your period. You could definitely be pregnant. BUT IF ... you have been sick at all this month, it can for sure push back your ovulation date (the days when you can get pregnant) and therefore your period can be late. And if, in this case, you had intercourse later in your cycle , you may be pregnant and have to wait longer to find out because you ovulated later and therefore a test will not show up until much later. Hope that helps.

    Q. I am obese i ovulate can i get pregnant?

Sure you can, being overweight or underweight both take their toll on trying to conceive by lowering the possibility of getting pregnant, one reason is cause it can delay your period and and also affect you to stop ovulate all together but in the end, since you are ovulating there is no problem and it is always possible to get pregnant. It might take longer to conceive but even that is not true in some cases of obese women.

    Q. Is it possible to ovulate 9 days after your period?
i had a dip in temps 9 days after period ended. of course husby and i been bd since period ended. 5-6 days after the dip, i feel soreness (maybe cramps. not sure what cramps feel like because i do not have them regularly) in my lower tummy and i am having a brown discharge. what does all of this mean?? i forgot to add that my temperature has been on a rise ever since the dip.

You may have concieved. It is usual to ovulate about a week or around that after your period. You may be experiencing implantation bleeding, it's nothing to worry about. Pains that are mild are all part of early pregnancy. However if you get bad pains especially one sided pain accompanied by bleeding and fainting, weakness or dizziness you should get checked over in case it's an ectopic pregnancy. Good luck

    Q. Can i ovulate 9 days after 1st day of period?
im regular, and i read that ovulating on normal cycle is on day 14.....confuse..

Hey, let's be real. If anybody could tell exactly when a woman has or will ovulate, then the birth control companies would be out of business. So yes, a woman can actually ovulate at pretty much any time of them month depending on hormonal changes triggered by emotional responses. So many women saying they are confused is just another way of realizing that we are not machines that work on any schedule according to a clock or calendar. We were trying for two years with all of the charts and timings and got nowhere until we found a natural way to stimulate ovulation. Send me Answers email if you would like me to send you my story about it.

    Q. Can you become pregnant two days before you ovulate and also start a 9 day long period?
less than a week ago, my bf and i were fooling around ie i was touching him, he was touching me. as i was touching him, i noticed that a very small amount of pre ejaculatory fluid ( at the most 3 or 4 drops worth) was on him and the majority of it ended up on my hand and i continued doing what i was doing to him, and probably evenly spread it on him. now, this is where the problems start. he corrected me on how to touch him, and he ended touching himself briefly - i can't remember if the fluid on him was dry at this point or not. his hand, however, was still fairly wet from touching me (sorry for the gory details but i feel they're necessary in order to get the advise i need). then, he touched me again. and i idiotically didn't think about what the possible consequences could be at the time, and didn't stop him. so i have no idea whether or not any of his fluid ended on inside me or not, or if it did, how dry it was, and if there was any sperm left alive by that time depending on how dry it was. (i do realize that there is at least some sperm in pre ejaculatory fluid.) now, comes the real question. two days later, i started having ovulation pain - which both surprised and terrified me at the same time because this was my first month of birth control pills. (although now i realize through research that they cannot be depended upon in the first month for protection. then, later that day, i started my period. and normally my periods last 9 days (which really is the reason why i started birth control pills in the first place, to stop from building up such a heafty uterine lining.) any way - sorry that was such a long story - but what's your opinion? i'm really worried about what may happen now since i don't really know how much got in me, and especially since i ovulated two days later. do you think my long period - and starting up my second month of birth control pills will prevent pregnancy? well i know for certain that i was ovulating because there was cervical mucous mixed in with my menstruation blood and also i had pain that was coming from my left side - presumably from my left ovary which lasted about two days. now, i’m still having my period.

1 if your period started, then it was not ovulation pain, but something else probably related to your period. 2.if your period started, then you are not pregnant because what your period consists of is shedding the lining of the womb/uterus which must be there for a pregnancy to occur there. Less certain is that despite your detailed description, the chances of a few sperm getting into under those circumstances and getting you pregnant are very low - pregnancy isn't guaranteed each time when the sperm are squirted into the right space where there are millions of sperm involved.

    Q. Do you still ovulate on day 14 if your period went through day 9? this an odd cycle.?
my period came early this month but lasted longer. i am charting and it still says i will ovulate on day 14. is this true? my periods have been very eratic.cycling anwhere from 29 days to 32 days and this month i started on day 24. but it lasted 9 days. uggh. we had unprotected sex on day 13 of this new cycle. ttc.

Day 14 is a general estimation. Actual ovulation can can vary a little month to month. It is even less reliable when cycles are irregular. "What is ovulation?" Ovulation is the period of the menstrual cycle when the mature egg is released from its follicle in the ovary. This happens about midway (day 14 of a 28-day cycle) through the menstrual cycle, but varies from woman to woman, especially those with irregular cycles. " " Sperm actually lives for about three to five days after ejaculation. Combine this with the 12 to 24 hours that the ovum is viable after being released, and you can see why some couple have such a difficult time conceiving a child. To make things more difficult, some women do not actually ovulate each month. " "Sperm travels about 1/8 inch per minute. Sounds pretty slow until you realize Sperm is about 1/600 inch long. If you scale that up to "human" size that's about 4-5 miles / hour -- slow jogging speed. The penetration of the penis and location of the egg in the fallopian tubes is only two factors that will affect time. Not all sperm swim in the correct direction. Some "hang back" and may not move into the fallopian tubes for a 2 or 3 days. This is why you can have intercourse before ovulation and still get pregnant by sperm from a few days ago."

Are you sure that is when you O? If so, it could be too short. Google luteal phase defect and you will get lots of good info.

    Q. My period lasted 9 days! would i most likely ovulate on cd 14 or 11 to 14 days after period?
now i know that not everyone ovulates on cd 14, but i was wondering that if i started my period and it lasted 9 days (last 3 days was light spotting) would i still ovulate within cd 14(5 days after my period ended)? because technically if a normal period last 5 days, then ovulation occurs 11 days after period has ended. if all of a sudden for some odd reason im now having a 9 day period would it still be on or around cd 14 ( 5 days after my period ended)or would it be 10 - 14 days after the period ended?

Good question. I am not 100% for sure about this though but I would think you would still ovulate on day 14 if that's what you normally do. Now if you don't know what day you normally ovulate, then there's a chance you will ovulate later in your cycle. A lot of woman never ovulate on the exact day every month. That's just the "text book" senario.(sp?) If you want to pin point the time you will ovulate, buy a home ovulation prediction kits. Those are pretty accurate.

Yes that could mean you are getting ready to ovulate. You will know you ovulate when the discharge coming out of your cervix looks like egg whites.
