Vaccines are typically weakened agents that are introduced to the body and that resemble actual disease causing pathogens (germs). Vaccines introduced as such enable the body to create its own immunity from attacks by similar agents. While modern vaccines rarely have any bad effects on the body, the success rate of vaccination is rarely 100% and in some cases vaccines have been known to infect and actually cause the disease they were meant to create immune against in the patient. These cases are however rare and very few have been documented. Administration of vaccines will depend on several factors and it is always recommended to seek expert advice before administration.

    Q. How does sports affect your body if you had a hepb vaccine ?
i had a hepatitis b vaccine today and i exercised for about 4 hours after that. now i feel my arm is sore. can exercise make the vaccine effects worse ? how does exercise affect your body when it just had a vaccine ? in other words is it better to exercise that day or not ? thank you

I would think that you should wait till next day to exercise so to let the vaccine run it's course and then do some exercise when you are feeling little bit stronger.

    Q. What are the side affects of the gardasil vaccine? and what parts of the body do they affect?
i'm getting part of it done next tuesday. so i would really like to know this. thx so much :)

The side effects of gardasil are pain, swelling, itching, and redness at the injection site. Generalized side effects are fever, nausea and dizziness. The benefits definitely outweigh the few minor side effects. Gardasil protects against the diseases caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV) Types 6, 11, 16, and 18. These include cervical cancer, diseases that lead to cervical cancer and genital warts. Your question about what parts of the body Gardasil affects is not clear. Affects how? As in posing a risk? If so, none. If in protecting, it would protect anything that can be affected by HPV.

    Q. How long does rabies affect human body?
a dog bitted me one year this day to be exact... after a day, i felt dizzy and weak, i have already completed my vaccine and still feel dizzy till now.. anyone can help me about this? it is possible that rabies cause this dizzines? or there is other factors that affecting my dizziness.?

Since 1974, there have been no reported cases of treatment failure. If a person is not treated adequately, rabies is 100% fatal within 10 days of developing symptoms. It can lay dormant in the body for up to 3 months after the bite. If you are a year out from the bite, you won't have rabies. The dizziness isnot readily explainable by the bite or the vaccine this far out from the time of exposure. I'd get checked by your doctor for the real cause.

    Q. How many parents are with me that vaccines for little ones are dangerous and can affect a childs health?
my son has only been vaccinated with hepb shot when he was born, and now after hard and intense research we found out that he was a baby that reacted to the vaccine, how? my son is now severly deaf and he has been losing his hearing little by little and hes always sick and and he has mercury in his little body (he's only one).

If the HepB shot caused your son's deafness can you imagine what would have happened had he actually contracted the disease? There are risks associated with everything...one must weigh out the good vs the bad. My daughter had a horrible reaction to one of her vaccines. I was told that, had she actually caught the disease it would have killed her. I have to tell you that she is now 27 yrs old and I am glad that I had her vaccinated.

    Q. My partner found hepatitis b, i want to know about vaccines for myself and its uses?
my partner live away from me for six month. she is in asia. she discovered hepatitis b. her doctor suggested her to tell me to take vaccines. i don’t know anything about this virus. when she’ll be back, is that affect my body if i have relationship with her. if it is , what steps should i take to keep myself safe and living together with her .

Hello, Vaccine for Hepatitis B is ... Hepatitis B virus- is also called “serum hepatitis”. HBV spreads through infected body fluids such as blood, saliva and breast milk. Infection occurs through contaminated blood transfusion, shared contaminated needles or syringes. How do you know if you have Hepatitis? The symptoms usually develop over a period of several days. Children who are infected often have no symptoms. The symptoms may be: Yellowing of the eyes and dark urine. General tiredness and poor appetite. Nausea, vomiting, fever and stomach ache. A person may spread HAV from about one week before symptoms appear and during the first week of symptoms. Persons with no symptoms can also spread the virus. Unlike Hepatitis B and C, Hepatitis A causes no long term liver damage. Having had the disease produces lifelong immunity from future HAV infection. How can you prevent Hepatitis? Good personal hygiene and proper sanitation can help prevent the infection. Toilets and sinks need to be cleaned with antiseptic solutions. Hepatitis B is contagious and its main routes of infection are contaminated blood transfusions, shared needles for drug injections and sexual contacts. Use of vaccines greatly decreases the incidence of this infection. Hepatitis C infection may pass from mother to foetus during pregnancy. A great deal of awareness and caution along with the doctor’s advice is required to prevent this infection. VACCINES..... Brand names Enegrix B, HB Vac Available as Injection Uses Prevention of hepatitis B virus infection Side effects* Mild soreness and hardening at injection site, occasionally low grade fever, fatigue, headache, nausea and dizziness, general feeling of discomfort. Use with Care Pregnancy Not used in Allergy to the vaccine Severe infections

    Q. What are the contents of a vaccine? what system in the body is most directly affected by a vaccination?

Vaccines are mostly proteins. They are antigens, meaning they cause the body to produce antibodies to a specific disease or toxin. The antigen may be a killed virus, a weakened live virus, or a toxoid. A toxoid is a modified toxin that will not produce illness but will induce the body to produce antibodies to the toxin. As such, vaccines affect the body's immune system. Examples of killed virus vaccines include pertussis (whooping cough) and the Salk polio vaccine. Live virus vaccines include the MMR - measles, mumps and rubella vaccines and the Sabin oral polio vaccine that is not used much in the US anymore. Toxoids include diphtheria and tetanus. Contrary to what a previous respondent has stated, vaccines are responsible for vastly reducing the incidence on many formerly deadly and dangerous diseases. Yes, there have been some significant tragic adverse reactions to vaccines, but the risk to benefit ratio is vastly in favor of the benefits, in spite of all the Thumbs Down this response usually brings.

    Q. Mmr vaccines can trigger trouble?
i am asking for other parents views on vaccine injuries. i am not anti - vaccine but i do think the current schedule is too many to soon for our little ones body to absorb all the toxic substances that are in the vaccines. i am not sure if a vaccine causes autism directly but i think that if ones body is not able to tolerate the toxins in the shots then brain damage occurs triggering autism, global developmental delays, ect. my son for example is 10 and disabled. he was a normal healthy baby developing normally until 6 months of age when he got that series of shots in 2000 (can't remember the vaccines) and the same day started head banging the wall rocking back and forth not responding to anyone and the pediatrician said that this is normal and not to worry. after this event, my son was different he was not developing to his peers and i started getting early steps involved and all the therapies offered. he is now in 4th grade and still seriously developmentally delayed at a kindergarten/1st grade level. he presents a worsening case of tics (involuntary body movements) and he can't recover from an episode which are not controllable and frequent throughout the day. my daughter was born nov 2007. she developed normally until about 15 months because i fell behind on her shots from 9 months and i only allowed for 2 shots : mmr and the other i forgot. any ways, my daughter has never been sick ever !! within 10 days after mmr she developed type a flu and strep throat together and they wouldn't test her for strep because it never goes together. i forced the test and it was positive. if she went undiagnosed, she could have gotten seriously ill or died. also she developed eczema at the injection sites. she went deaf and regressed to about an 8 month old level. i had her pretested for autism by a doctor and she met all the qualifications. she failed a hearing test. 3 months plus went by and she started to come back little by little she came out of this fog she was in. her hearing is coming back and her development is getting better each day and now shows low probability for autism and was diagnosed as having global developmental delays. the cdc side effects for the mmr serious side effects are deafness and more. any parents out there with a similar story or worse?? this is only for parents who have been directly affected by vaccine reactions. i'd like to hear your stories. thank you.

Dr. Mercola has a lot of useful information and interviews with experts that have done a lot of research in the field of vaccinations. Apparently there are a growing number of concerns coming from tests that are written up in prominent medical journals which aren't being read by the majority of doctors here's a very interesting interview...quite fascinating and loaded with information http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2009/11/03/What-We-Have-Learned-About-the-Great-Swine-Flu-Pandemic.aspx
