You can gain quite a lot fast if your already lifting weights and working out. And your strength will go up fast also but thats at first, after that results will be lower but not that low. Creatine basically adds to your muscle mass slowly so theres gonna be a change in you after 5 months

I would go with the whey after exercise with a gatorade and a banana to spike the insulin to get the protein into the muscle. Creatine is good to get bigger muscles but as soon as your off of it the muscle look is gone you will still have the muscles but there wont be that big "cut" looking form anymore. also try out glutamine and zma which is very good it helps with a good night rest

the way creatine works is to be stored as phosphocreatine. the phosphate produced by creatine is used for regenerating adenosine triphosphate (ATP) molecules which is the main fuel for the enzyme motors of the muscle in initial high-intensity muscle activity. during your workout the Atp loses a phosphate molecule and creatine returns it back to ATP .
but that is the sciency part basically creatine increases the rate at which muscle can recover. which increases strength faster and size faster. creatine monohydrate also pulls water into the muscle cells to flood it with nutrients which gives the muscles the appearance of looking fuller.
so creatine would help with your muscle size but the difference will mostly be in water.

I just started taking it today actually, A friend of mine has been taking it for a couple months and he has seen a lot of gains. I hope you see some gains as well. I am not looking to be a body builder or anything, just want some more strength in my upper body. I know this doesn't help you right now as far as results go so I'm sorry.
From what I have heard it helps with repair and growth of the muscles and helps you work out longer for greater gains.

Let's put it this way. I started weightlifting when I was in my late 50's. I am also female. I put on significant muscle and gained significant strength. I used the Life Circuit, and I could leg press something like 250 pounds (or maybe 350; I don't remember for sure), and I maxed out the back exercise. When I used these machines, I always set the negative weight higher (the reason I used these is because you can get a higher negative weight without having a partner, and I never had one). I took two seconds to raise the weight, and four seconds to lower it. I always used the heaviest weight I could. This meant that I could only do one set (the machines make a set of 12) before I had exhausted my energy with that muscle set. Immediately after my workout, I took a stack (a combination of nutrients), and creatine was part of it. I don't see a reason not to use creatine unless there is some particular reason, such as being allergic to it, but then as I understand it, it's part of the chemicals in the body, so it would be silly to say you shouldn't take it. Do some study. Bodybuilding magazines often have good information in them. This is how I designed my stack. I'd have to dig around a bit to remember what I put into it. I haven't done any weightlifting for several years because I dislocated some joints (this runs in the family, and originally I started weightlifting to help hold my muscles in place). But you have to be careful not to do damage to your body when you do weightlifting. Be careful, always use slow, deliberate movements, no jerking. Keep your wrists straight.
You should always wait at least a day before using the same muscles again, to give your muscles time to recover and grow. I was working out twice a week. When you're older, recovery takes longer.
Don't do weightlifting for the sake of vanity. You will probably injure your body, and could develop a disability. Do it because it is good for you, and do it right.

Can creatine monohydrate help in gaining muscle weight and what workout is best for weight gain? i am 16 and am 143 pounds. i have tried quickmass (weight gainer) religiously three times gaining only a few pounds. i've also been doing heavy weight training with little results. i've turned to a nitric oxide/ creatine product called xpand. i have been on it for a month with only a three pound increase. i have also been eating a lot to get in my calories. would creatine monohydrate alone be a better product? also, what workout can help me gain muscle weight?light or heavy weights?
my routine now is triceps, shoulders and chest, on monday, wednesday, and friday. and back and arms on tuesday, and thurday.

Chest 3 times a week is way to much unless you are on steriods and have super genetics! Creatine however does help your muscles recuperate but I have the feeling you have been reading to much muscle mags? Get rid of the xpand and the other snake oil's and just use a good protein powder+high calorie foods (6 meals a day) and hit each body part hard once a week with 2-3 days a week doing no weights.

What is the best creatine to gain muscle quickly? i take bsn n.o xplode and like the kick it gives me but i am looking for a creatine supplement to get big from. i was thinking of bsn cell mass but do you kno of any better supps. that are more pure creatine? powder, tablet, anything? price doesnt matter and please no one say "dont take supplements and just eat healthy." thanks.

Jeremy, most supplement marketing is just that, marketing. Although there are a lot of claims about "advanced delivery system" and "proprietary" creatine formulas, in general, creatine monohydrate is creatine monohydrate. A tub shouldn't cost you more than $15-$20.
BSN Cell Mass is Creatine-Ethyl-Ester-Malate with glutamine and with some kind of "proprietary cell-uptake matrix." This is basically a fancy name for a series of phosphates and a concentrated cinnamon extract. This is probably intended to increase insulin sensitivity to increase creatine uptake.
The research around these different forms of creatine and whether they improve uptake is really inconclusive. I've even seen some recent research that indicates that ingesting creatine with a high-glycemic carb doesn't actually increase creatine uptake as was previously thought.
I've tried both the Cell Mass product and plain vanilla GNC creatine monohydrate and noticed no significant difference between the two in terms of my performance. I would avoid the hype and choose the less expensive option and use the money you saved to buy more chicken breast and canned tuna.
