Cover those ash blonde tones with some warmer golden tones. Bleach will only make things look worse. Choose a hair dye that is about a shade darker than what you have now. You really need to have it professionally done. You could really ruin your hair, if your lucky, it'll just turn to straw, but most people end up with their hair breaking off and it can take months to years to repair the damage. Dying your hair yourself is one thing, I've always done that with great success, but home bleaching kits are a whole new ballgame. My sister has dark brown hair and bleached it blonde when she was in her 20's, she lost alot of hair and sadly her hair actually fell out and never grew back and she's 40 now with a bald spot. For your own well being, have it done at a salon with a well seasoned professional.

Do not do this at home. You can accidentally get some in your eyes. You might also be sensitive to the product and should have a allergy test done. Go to a beauty school and get it done. It is less expensive than a salon.

Q. Can i bleach again after toning? does ash blonde cover the yellow, or take it out?
i understand i need to tone to get the yellow out. but after that can i bleach again. in germany the closest i can get to a "toner" is to dye my hair ash blonde. but then can i bleach again to make it lighter than ash blonde? i guess my question is does tha ash blonde cancel out the red in my hair. or is it just covering it up, so if i bleach again it will be again yellow? please help. im doing it soon! thanks!

Go back to your salon. The ash blonde was a toner, not a bleach, and toner.. tones the hair to a different shade of blonde. If you bleach the ash blonde you could make it worse.

similar to my last question but more specific. is it possible to lift from a level 7 dark ash blonde to a level 9 or 10 light pale yellow blonde without using bleach? if so, what level developer should be used? everytime the salon tries to lift me with developer alone rather than using bleach, i turn orange and can't lift past the orange stage. could the ash tones in my hair be harder to lift out contributing to the orange? solutions/suggestions?

DO NOT USE BLEACH especially with a 40 volume developer. ridiculous, completely unnecessary to use bleach for 2 levels. you are talking about 2 levels....use a color with an blue violet, or ash base and a 20 volume developer.
