I colored my hair and the roots are too light? Do not use a permanent color to fix this. If you died your hair a light golden blond and the roots are a little coppery compared to the rest of your hair you might want to use a darker ash blond to cover it. Try a test strip on the top of your hair that is not along the line where you normally part your hair and try putting the ash color bottle on it without using the developer that you mix it with. If that works just slowly blend it. Conversely, if your hair was too light at the roots compared to the ends but you lightened it with an ash blonde, then try using the darkest gold blonde to balance the ash without the developer. If you see no change try adding a dab of the developer with the color and apply it to the test strip. If this works, then apply the hair color using ONLY HALF the developer because you don`t want to damage your hair and your cuticles have already been opened after bleaching so they should grab the color. This half developer suggestion goes also for my first example with the orangy roots. These suggestions are only for light blonde hair. I don`t know what to do if you have medium brown hair or dark brown hair and your roots are too light. So, please, only use this for light shades of hair! |
