Hence , the better solution is to cut short your hair as much is possible for you and do condition them properly till they grow again .

Blonde hair can be two different tones. Ash, which is greyish and golden blond which has a reddish base. Neither are bad except if your hair is highly processed and you dye it ash blonde or if you hair is lighter and you dye it darker with an ash tone - the hair is stripped of the gold that you need to balance the grey. You need to get a dark blonde shade and mix it with only HALF the devleoper in order to restore the gold back into your hair and balance out the color. Then you may be able to redye it the color you want. However, you may want to switch to a light blonde without ash in it. I did this and it worked for me!

i recently went from black to blonde. the blonde color i used was a little too yellowy/orange in some spots, shimmer lights purple shampoo did not take it all out so i dyed it an ash blonde color. now it looks like i have grey streaks in my hair. some of my hair is a nice blonde color as the ash did take out the brassyness. but left the bleached parts that were platinum blonde a grey color. ive researched a bunch but havent found a good answer. i bought another natural light blonde color and dyed my hair with that tonight but they grey spots are still there.. i also went ahead and bought a golden blonde incase the natrual blonde didnt work since i seem to be not having very good luck with fiinding the right blonde. i do know that a golden blonde will counteract the grey but will it make my hair a dark orangey golden blonde? because all i really want is to turn the grey parts a light blonde not a darker golden blonde. and another thing..if the golden blonde does end up turning my hair a little too brassy can i fix that with the shimmer lights and make it lighter? i just want one nice blonde color. not 5 different colors lol oh and there is no way i can go to a hairdresser, i dont have the money to do that. i should have just gone to begin with instead of trying to do it myself but its a little late for that as ive run out of money trying to do it myself. lesson learned. yes my hair is damaged but im not too worried about the damage as i have some good conditioner treatments and i am going to cut alot of it off anyways, its sholder length and i knew by going from black to blonde it would cause some amount of damage which is why i didnt cut it off before hand. p.s i also have an important formal event to attend this sunday, so im hoping someone can help before then! please and thank you =]

my hair was a kind of yellow blonde with bits of white blonde and golden blonde colours toned in. yesterday i put on a dye and it turned it a horrible dark grey blonde colour, so i put ona really light blonde shade which turned it light grey. i went to the hairdressers today where they put on a beige blonde toner and now my hair just looks a dull ash/ grey blonde shade. i want it to have more of a yellow blonde colour. it is really awful and i need to sort it out myself by tonight? if anyone knows any good yellow blonde hair dyes please let me know? thankyouu :) xo

i used garnier nutrisse extra light ash blonde hair dye. i know i'm an idiot and i shouldn't have done it at home, but i did and i need your help to fix it. i probably will go to a salon to fix it, hopefully they can help. my hair is naturaly a very dark ash blonde...really dark. (for blonde) when i was little i was towhead but it just kept getting darker. well i decided to dye it a really dark red (looked awesome =d) i did that for about 9 months then i got bored with it and wanted to go to a really light blonde color (not quit platnium but really light towhead) so i first wanted to get all the red i could out of it and i used color oops (yes i know...stupid) lolz i didn't know it was only for right after you colored it. anyways it turned a copper color (ugh) i went to a salon and told them what i wanted, they said bleach all over my head wold ruin it so i should just do highlights of bleach to help get the red out. well that made it a light copper color :( i waited all summer then i went to sallys and used quick blue bleach. that worked well, my roots had grown out and now it was stark white where the roots were, the ends were a yellow color (ugh) i used toner (towhead)...turned it grey but faded over a couple weeks. so then on i wanted to let my hair rest. i spoiled my hair with a hole bunch of conditioners and crap. it became healthy again=d but my hair had grown out like an inch and a half and the blonde was now bananna yellow again and some of it still orange in places (im okay with that ;) so its been four months since i bleach/toned it and i wanted to do my roots and tone down the yellow. i wanted something that wouldn't completly ruin the condition of my hair so i asked around and they said garnier was the heathiest. so i looked up online what the lightest shade was and it was extra light ash blonde (white choclate). okay i died it.....it turned gray were the yellow was...and copper on my roots. i don't mind the copper i'll just dye it again with the same dye and then hopefully it will be the right color. my only problem is the grey...i know it'll fade...but to be honest i don't want to wait. is there anything that will help fade the gray? anything besides stripping the color or dyeing it a darker blonde (i don't want it darker) like anything natrual? you know, food. thank you for listening, it was really long(sorry). that dye that i used didn't dry my hair at all, it actually conditioned it. i'm big on hair treatments and deep conditioners and other crap. my hair is spoiled. lolz but then again it kinda has to be with all the crap it puts up with. oh and all these things i did to my hair were very long in between. i didn't just go here than there than do this and that. i let my hair take long breaks ;) yes i know i should go in to get it fixed and i probably will but i just wanted to know if i could do anything to help move the fading process along. just so its not so gray anymore. like anything natrual? but i understand going in would be best. sorry..none of that was ment to be rude lolz also im homeschooled so i don't shampoo my hair very often.

I feel like it'll fade out naturally over time. I would normally tell you to try bleaching it again, but at this point you've just done so much to it. I bet it probably feels like bubblegum when it's wet, right? That stretchiness when it's wet is going to make your hair get weaker and weaker and start breaking all over the place, which is just as bad as having it fall out. What you're gonna need to do is to cut off as much as you are willing to part with, and start conditioning the hell out of it. Don't shampoo it more than a couple times a week, but still shower and use conditioner in your hair anyway.

my sister has dyed and bleached her hair a lot, but she's kept it an extremely light blonde for a while. she's most recently dyed it with loreal "super blonde" lightening kit. now, she wants to dye it a darker blonde, closer to her natural colour. first, she tried loreal "dream blonde" in dark ash brown, but it turned a cool greyish colour, with purplish tones to it. she used "color oops" hair colour remover to fix this, then tried again with clairol perfect 10 in medium blonde, but it still turned the same grey/purple colour, so she's using color oops again. why is this happening, and is there a certain type of hair colour she can use to acheive a dark blonde without this grey/purple tone? does she absolutely need to go to a salon, and if she does will they be able to do it? thanks so much.

She needs use a light brown with no ash colour in it (it's what's giving her the weird tones). Since her hair is so light, then the colour she puts in it will be a lighter result than what is on the box, so she should go for a colour that is a bit darker than the result she wants.
