It is not possible to accurately predict what percentage of women succeed with ivf. I believe that it is an extremely individual thing as to whether it is a viable option. While they will produce up to 12 embryos they will be choosy about which embryos are implanted. They consider which they feel are achieving milestones and hence are most likely to result in a live birth. You need to consider the quality of the eggs that are being used also. The average that I can find is a 33% chance that IVF will result in a live birth.
